Prolongs the working life of your espresso machine

The ClaroSwiss filter protects against scaling which in turns helps increase appliance lifetime. Each contains a single cartridge of Breville Claro Swiss Water Filter for up to 90 days of usage. For optimal results, filter needs to be replaced every 90 days. Just snap into Breville water tank and use, simple and easy.

Enhances the quality of your espresso

● The filter uses activated carbon (coconut-based) adsorption and ion exchange resin technology.
● It is designed to reduce chlorine, heavy metals, and stabilise calcium carbonate / mineral content, which helps prevent scale build-up in the machine.
● Soak the filter in water for 5 minutes, fit into the holder, and replace every 3 months (or if water hardness is high, replace more often).
● The ClaroSwiss filter protects against scaling … For optimal results, ensure filter is replaced every 90 days.

Why this is important
● Using this filter helps in a few ways:
● It helps maintain the internal components by reducing mineral scale build-up (which otherwise can lead to maintenance issues or affect the machine’s performance).
● It helps improve coffee flavour by reducing unwanted chlorine or heavy metal tastes from tap water.

Tips
● Make sure you buy the correct filter model (BES0080N).
● Even if your local tap water is filtered, you still need some mineral content (the manual warns against using extremely low-mineral water like RO or distilled, as taste and performance may suffer).
● If you live in an area with very hard water (high minerals), even with the filter you may need to descale more often or consider additional water softening.
● Always follow the soak/install instructions: soaking for 5 minutes before installing helps eliminate air and ensures filter performance.

Notes
● If your machine model number is bunder “880”, e.g. BES870 (Barista Express), BES876 (Barista Express Impress), BES878 (Barista Pro), BES840 (Infuser), then this Claro Swiss filter is not compatible. Some of the older batch of Oracle®, Oracle® Touch, and Dual Boiler™ does not use this filter too. If you are unsure of your batches, please write in to our customer service for enquiry.
● The filter has 36 months of shelf life from the date of production. The date printed on the packaging is the production date, e.g. 250314 (YYMMDD).
